About Plants vs. Zombies
The title Plants vs. Zombies gives you a clear idea of what to expect, but the actual gameplay is an unexpectedly engaging experience. This is a one-sided tower defense game where you must defend your house and garden from invading zombies. Success hinges on selecting a strategic mix of plants to cover as much ground as possible and maintain strong defenses. Zombies will try to outmaneuver your defenses, so be prepared to dig up plots and reposition plants as needed.
How to Play
Plants vs. Zombies is a 2D side-scrolling tower defense game where you protect your house from zombies using various plants. To select plants, move your cursor over them, click the left mouse button, and place them on an open plot of land. Most plants require sunlight to be planted, which you collect by moving the mouse over falling sunlight. Your goal for each level is to defeat all incoming waves of zombies.
At the start of each level, you have a designated plot of land and a limited selection of plants, with more becoming available as you progress. Sunlight will periodically fall from the sky, and some plants can generate additional sunlight, which you’ll need to collect. The available plants and your current sunlight are displayed in the top left corner, along with the sunlight cost for each plant. If you have enough sunlight, you can plant it, but each plant has a cooldown period before it can be planted again.
Zombies approach from the left side of the screen. When they encounter a plant, they will attack it until the plant is either eaten or the zombie is defeated. If a zombie reaches your house, it’s game over. As you advance, zombies become tougher, donning armor, wielding weapons, and employing new tactics to bypass your plants. Different plants are effective against different types of zombies.
Tips and Tricks
As you unlock more plants, aim to create a balanced mix that covers both offense and defense. Always include at least one plant that generates sunlight and one defensive plant. Zombies often cluster together, so focus on the fastest or most dangerous threats first.
