The Wticher 3 Wild Hunt first impressions
Hi all. I know I know, I have been under massive rock … I haven’t updated this blog for quite some time and all … and now … just now trying out The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt …
I have quite a big confession to make also … I have not played any of The Witcher games … the only two reasons why I tried The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt now is because I absolutely LOVED Netflix’s The Witcher … another reason – The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is free of charge for Xbox Game Pass users.
So I only had 40 minutes to try it out and half of that time I spent looking cinematics and stuff … oh no, I am not going to skip the cutscenes … the fact that everyone is crazy about the story is certainly going to prevent me from skipping scenes. I mean, I love games with great story lines so I am certainly watching them all.
Gameplay wise … well, the game might be slightly more difficult as I am used to shooter gameplay. Even Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has somewhat better controls. I am sure after playing for a few days I will get used to it. Who climbs using B button? Gerald of Rivia! Also, default action button A is weird … you are used to X but then again … it’s something you can probably change anyway.
So I am very excited to give this game more time and can’t wait to play it for another 4-5 hours later today. I will be comparing this game to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as the AC Odyssey is the best game of all tiems for me. I can already see a lot of similarities – great story (hopefully), horses, world map and other things once you press the right “start” button. Melee weapons and more.
So over the next week, I will be posting my views about this game. I look forward to Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire realising on 28th of January and Journey to the Savage Planet realising this Friday on 31st of January. At some point I will have to share time amongst these 3 games but I will manage.
